About the Data

Using the newest available data from the New York City and New York State education departments, our school pages include general information and assessment data for New York City’s public and charter schools.

Obviously, numbers don’t tell the whole story. Visiting schools and discussing options with students, teachers and parents are also part of a comprehensive school search. We hope that SchoolBook is a starting point to help you find the best fit for you and your child.
